I'm new to this forum. I want to start a small Data Recovery business in my own town because they don't have any in my city and cities around mine.

Well, in short, I want to get the tools to start my business with. There are HDDSurgery, CPR Tools and salvationdata.

I like HDDSurgery tools but they are pricy. I will definitely get tools for Seagate and WD but to get all for both is really pricy. So can you please advice me which tool is the most useful for me (example "HDDS Sea 7200.10/.9/.8/ES p2-3" is used in most of the hard disk now adays)

Get yourself PC3000 UDMA + DE and start from there. Dont even bother going down the route of replacing heads until you have had time to practise and have a steady stream of customers. You will break more than you fix, and the ones you fix will probably cost you more to get parts and time for that you wont make anything on them.

You are on the right path as far as what tools you need.

For many it is sort of difficult to answer questions directly about certain drives as many times people get a particular type of model drive more frequently based on their market/continent as oppose to other parts of the world. Often times, there are some variations in how drives are distributed by the manufacturer based on economical circumstances.
As result one solution does not fit all.

Maybe a member from Asia who has seen a great share of drives over the years is most qualified to answer.
