4TB Seagate drive not detected by BIOS. Firmware Problem

August 22nd, 2012, 15:15

Hello.

Is it possible to acquire the means to fix the firmware on the drive?
A local shop diagnosed it as corrupt firmware.
Drive spins, heads begin to seek but then stops and it spins quietly.
Bios will not detect the drive.

It came as the external Goflex 4TB drive. I removed the SATA drive from the enclosure.

Thank you!

Contact jono-ats, he is a local member from Atlanta.
He will help you to resolve your problem.

If you are looking for a DIY solution, you probably won't find it for this new model.
