Hi Guys,

I have a case where a WD2500AAJS-00B4A0 would not come ready but it sounds like the heads calibrating properly.
I managed to access the SA with manual load and copy the ROM and test the heads - the heads seems to be fine so i assume it is a FW issue.
So I got an exact donor, same model, same ROM, same PCB and did hot swap following the instructions of the attached document, I did exactly as told in this document attached but I can't get access to the data area of the patient drive all 6666.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Oded

Do the head maps match?
How close are the MicroJogs?

The Salvation attachment talks about WD, but shows a Maxtor drive.

You need to back up more than P-List & G-List to the hot swap donor. Like all the tracks.

Their advice is bad and doesn't work with this model. Big surprise.
