Hi everyone
I wish to transfer my data from my old external Fujitsu HD MHT2060AT (60GB) to a newer and Larger (160GB) external Western Digital HD. Both drives are plugged to a powered USB hub, and everthing operate under Windows 7.

however the old drive is not moving files and directories continuisly, it will stop in the middle of a move (cut/paste) command and every time I loose data. the drive does not shut down, it simply stop executing the move command.

could anyone indicate what is wrong with the Fujitsu drive and what I can do to avoid loosing data
thanks

Try using direct interface, instead of usb, for the 60gb drive(problem can be due to the usb interface).
Dont use the cut n paste option. Copy n paste all the data, check if all the data has been transfered , then delete the files from the original .
Tools like Terra copy, unstopable copier will skip files that coudnt be copied and go to next file and copy it, it wont stop the process , as in windows copy .You can try them.
All these are assuming that your Fujitsu 60 gb is in woking condition.
Else you may have to use cloning tools to clone the drive .
Anyhow , Connect the drive driectly , using a desktop pc, and check how it behaves.
