Hi guys I'm having some issues with a hdd, i know all problems are not the same I've been searching and reading but still, I'm stuck and cant find an answer, here is what happen.
A friend of mine was working on his drive and for some unknown reason the drive said FORMAT NOW, he told to me he had a backup of that drive, so guess what he did he formatted, but here is the funny thing for some reason he tried to formatted it has FAT16 i don't know what happen there, then he told me he formatted to NTFS, and he copy some files to the drive, so when he was checking the backup of that drive he was missing files, so he tried to run a recovery software, but had no luck he gave me his drive for me to check it out and i have done this.
Hard Drive is a 1TB drive
1.I run MHDD and saw that the drive had no errors or bad sectors LBA are ok.
2.When i check on windows disk manager it says RAW, when i try to open it it says FORMAT DISK.
3.When i run testdisk i see 2 FAT16 <32M and it says Invalid FAT boot sector
4.i have also tried FTK imager
I posted some pics for you to see, i have not clone or image the drive cause i don't have a 1TB drive to do that, i will buy one has soon has possible, but i have also tried R-STUDIO and nothing can't find anything, is there a way to fix the file system, and i got confused why i see NTFS and FAT16.
Any help would be great
thanks
