What nightmare ? Using them since last year and they are quite well designed and up today they work fine. Here they have a price similar to WD, but the quality is absolutely different in my opinion. Of course when it comes to data recovery...

I think PC3K supports it just fine
It is not a real Toshiba drive

Find 10 differences :)

Hitachi is already "married" to WD :)
Of course some countries allow several wives

Why move ? You only have NOT to be married. There's always a solution.

Ask the support in ACELABS, they should help.
Is the drive ID as a Hitachi Family at all in PC3000 ?
