Check with pc3k-scsi if you have it.

Have you checked inside? I had some Sas behaving like this and when i opened them i found only magnetic dust.

Agree with Dobre. Sound of drive is not always meaningful. Have to check on the sense error and see what it says.

heads bad and platter bad!!
