Not detected in BIOS.
Comes to Ready. After loading from donor .res file can read most FW modules.
Many of the ones that fail are the "Loaded part of microprogram code" (referencing Module Table in Ann LeFlore's WD guide). Among those, most fail with a CRC Error.

One of the 6 Adaptive Area modules fails, and the ATA module fails.

I have an exact donor from which which I was able to save all the FW mods from--exact DCM and everything.

My main question is if the "loaded part of microprogram code" modules are ones I can overwrite with ones from my donor without destroying data.

Since you have got a donor i wouldn't risk to write in patient BUT smart hot swap.

In the last line of my post I meant to say do these specific modules in the donor and patient likely contain the same information or is there a chance they are specific to the drive and if I overwrite with donor mods I'll do irreversible damage to the drive.

Thanks for the smart hot swap suggestion.

Don't overwrite modules with A level importance; B modules may be overwritten, but sometimes with consequences (e.g. G-List).

The donor fw and rom must be saved before using for smart hotswap, the best would be making a loader. You can then revert to the original situation.
