hi. I have two HDD. The A is an Seagate ST3500418AS with CC35 firmware and it works fine. The B HDD is the same ST3500418AS but with CC37 firmware.
The problem is that the B HDD board is burned. So I decided to change the boards. I do this but my PC cannot read the B HDD. The driver spin ok but cannot recognized.
So i want to ask:
1.Is the firmware a problem(A CC35 and B CC37) ?
2.If update(CC43) the A HDD and then put the board in B HDD maybe works???
3. Is any other way to solve this problem? My data in B HDD is very important for me....

Unique firmware for each drive, board swaps do not work on these unless you move the rom chip over to the other board too.
Post a pic and we can tell you which one that needs moving
