I have used this HDD Raw Copy Tool to copy a hard drive to a new source drive, what program do I use to view the data on the source drive?

Well maybe I used the wrong tool....odds are I did.

I had this seagate that the customer said was not "booting" So I plug it in and it shows unallocated and was not initialized. It seems the copy went well so not sure if the HD is actually bad, but i had tried fixing the MBR thinking that was it, but to no avail on either drive.

I do have salvation Data Compass, I believe that would retrieve the files correct?

Customer gave no indication that they formatted the HD or tried reloading.

hopefully you did not do the reverse and overwrite the clients drive with a blank drive.

try r-studio or getdataback to scan

I did not write over client data, and I have test hd's to learn to use R Studio, I am asking for advice to LEARN to use equipment/software, If I wanted to outsource I would have already done it, and it would not be someone out of the states.

Why is it so hard to get advice from DATA Recovery experts? You were not an expert when you started, and I do my fair share of reading and learning every day. I did not ask someone to show me how to use R Studio I asked if there was someone that I read and learn how to use it.

There maybe a million things about this stuff I dont know, but I do know other things.

Please help correctly

Thank you,

Kasey Zeltinger
