GPT Protected Partition

Hi, I took a damaged hard drive form a HP pavilion g7. Put it in an external and trying to recover some personal files. I pluged the external into another desktop with winXP 32bit. Under disk management it shows the HP drive as GPT Protected Partition. How can I remove the protection to explore the drive and recover what I need? Thanks.

Try Partition Find & Mount:

I suspect that PF&M will mount your NTFS/FAT32 volume without regard to the type of partitioning system. There may be a complication if the drive or volume is larger than 2TiB, though.
