@Spildit, arvika & other members,

Note that software.com.pl also publishes Hackin9 and several other magazines, and some people (see below) have reported spamming by "editors" of Hackin9 who try to get people to write (typically unpaid) articles for them.

Read these discussions about the behaviour of Hackin9 and other related software.com.pl magazines / editors, before you decide to write to them (and therefore before you give them your email address or other contact details):

http://attrition.org/errata/charlatan/hakin9/

On this link below, start with the original article (1/4 of the way down the page), then the update at the top of the page:

http://www.digininja.org/blog/hakin9_spam_kings.php

Hopefully those articles will allow readers here to make an informed decision, about whether to work with any of the magazines from software.com.pl or not.

[If software.com.pl have any problems with what I have written above, note that I am just linking to information which is already in the public domain.]

Hi again,

We are searching experts which would be interested in writing the article. In return we offer self promotion in our magazine and issue with your article for free. For those authors who will write regularly for us we offer annual subscription (and as a result an access to the huge amount of publications about Computer/Mobile Forensics, Data Recovery, eDiscovery, etc.) as a reward. IMPORTANT: We're searching really experts in Data Recovery from USA and Canada.

To Vulcan:

I don't get it personally. All I know is that really big IT companies cooperate with us and they don't worry about opinions of "haters". For example I established partnership with Brian Gill (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/brian-gill/ ... member-0-0), CEO of Gillware Inc. (http://gillware.com/) and in the next issue you can find interview with him. Just provide you and other members with some information. Everyone thinks and act like he/she want.

Peace :)

Here comes yet another poster asking the Data Recovery Experts to offer their hard earned knowledge and experience in the DR Field into the "public domain" for "free" . I see the OP doesn't get the basis of the information that Vulcan posted either quote " I don't get it personally" What's not to "GET" if an Expert doesn't want to write for your publication for "free" and your conglomerate of companies keeps sending un-wanted/ un-solicited e-mails to the Expert even after many times requesting to be "removed" whats NOT TO GET ? I am sure you wouldn't appreciate all of us sending you e-mails asking for "free" articles each week correct ? Or a Free copy of the next issue with the DR Expert Brian Gill's article.

I think Vulcan did everyone a great service by pointing out information that "others" have been through dealing with the OP request. If the OP doesn't have thick enough skin to deal with it then maybe they should re-think posting these types of requests to forums.

What a business Model sell the e-magazine for $ 225.00 per year for "individuals" and you don't pay for any of the "content" to the "Expert Writers" just the time to Publish the Magazine and sort of spell check it ?

People don't appreciate being taken advantage of and its insulting at the same time.

@Vulcan - thanks for warning. I don't know that.

Anyway I'm not "expert in Data Recovery from USA and Canada." ;)

Guys, if you do not believe me or think that your expert's knowledge must be highly paid (of course it must) it's okay. I understand your point but pleaseeeee.... don't say that our magazine is bad, charlatan or we're sending spam every week. If you don't want receive any messages from me or my colleagues you can just write your request. We have our blacklist and all editors will know you as a person which they mustn't contact at all!

But thanks for your opinions :wink:
