This head replacement tool is made for safe and easy head replacement on Western Digital hard drive models BB, BD, JB, JD and all other models with 1 platter from Marvell families:

MAMMOTH, SABRE and UNICORN

This tool will also work on some of the pre-Marvell hard drives.

I had the honour to beta-test the Seagate tool.

As always, it is exceptional and makes head swap as easy as a walk in a park.
Of course, experience and caution are always needed, or you will end up with quite a mess, but generally it helps a lot, especially for multiplatter drives.

After I used the tool for the first time, I never do head swaps without it.
