Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello everyone!
In about the first week of April, my family and I went to Jordan, a country in the Middle East. We saw Petra and took many photos.
About a week and a half to two weeks later, my computer got screwed up and I had to re-install Windows 8 on my computer, but since the setup never finished, I had to do the set up at least 3 times. When I remembered that all of my photos of Petra on my desktop, I got really angry that I lost them all. I usually say no to have a Windows.old folder because it waste space. So I've used Recuva from Piriform but it only found 5% of all of the photos. I've ran it on multiple SD cards, my external hard drive, and my internal hard drive multiple times and can only come up with those.
I ask if you can tell me how can I get them back, because they are really important to me and my family.
Please respond,
=Yoshi=

Clone your drive, sector by sector, and then try the demo version of R-Studio.
