any way to fix corrupt adaptives without selfscan ?

Galaxy 7200.10 3.ADG
the drive was in a flood and the original pcb is burned completely through

whether I boot from the platters or from a ldr I cannot get the drive to go ready

at the end of a heads test, it complains about corrupt adaptives
is there any way to fix corrupt adaptives without selfscan ?

any other thoughts on how to access this drive would be much appreciated

Have you opened the drive to verify there is no internal damage?

Such problems may appear due to the heads' inability to write anything.

If you have PC-3000, most likely we'll be able to get the drive to READY state remotely.
If not, then considering the information above, job still looks pretty recoverable.

But please do not launch tests like T4 and other selfscan tests, that may worsen the situation.

T4 is quite useless for judgements about heads and adaptives condition.

Hi there !

I'm not working on this drive. I've tried out all that i could, and concluded that either the platter was contaminated and killing the heads or the heads used for the swap were not fully compatible.

If you can help further please contact the original poster because i don't have enough knowledge to retrieve the data from this particular drive.
