URGENT!LAPTOP BEEPS WHEN HARD DRIVE IS PLUGGED!!!

Hey, so i was using my hard drive and i accidentally hit it and so now whenever i plug it into the laptop, the laptop makes 4 faint beeping sort of noise and the hard drive is not recognized anymore. I checked if its a problem in the laptop by plugging in another device but it works fine so i know its a problem with the hard drive not the laptop.
I'm not sure what my hard drive is but it has a WD on it. Please help, the files on the hard drive are really important. Thank You

You have likely caused internal damage to the drive. There are a couple of different possible problems which you might have caused, but there is no low-risk method for you to fix this problem yourself.

the files on the hard drive are really important.

Therefore you should contact a reliable DR professional for assistance, as the risks of any DIY attempts could make the problem even worse. If you didn't care about the data on the drive, and were prepared to risk making the data permanently unrecoverable by your actions, then that would be a different situation - but you said the opposite, so that means that DIY is not realistic in this situation, IMHO.

Also, would you recommend wrapping it in several plastic bags and putting it in a freezer for a few hours?

It's the same thing - there is no (physical) problem outside the drive, so it's a (physical) problem inside the drive. (e.g. stiction / spindle damage / jammed head etc.)

Depends on how much risk you want to take - the process is not risk-free, and you said the drive contained "really important" files.

P.S. One of the DR professionals on the forum posted some photos a while ago, of the inside of a drive where a user had tried that procedure - it was a complete disaster. Your data, your responsibility, your choice.

Heads in your drive crashed,

Shoving it in the freezer will damage it completely. Only option is to "not" power the drive and send it of for recovery, or use your backup of data and recycle the drive...
