Yes it is correct but your drive might have some bad sectors.

what happens if it has bad sectors?

if you have a bad sectors some of your files will be corrupted or R studio won't even able to finish scanning the drive. if you can open the stucture of your hard drive, first recover the files you mostly need instead of scanning the whole hard drive.

keep scanning if you want to kill your hard drive. You need to get it cloned using a hardware imager.

Your drive absolutly has logical errors if file system, however the cause is very likely to be some bad sectors that triggered the events. If it were me I would clone this drive before scanning it using prefably a hardware imager, or worst case- a software imager that handles bad sectors. Run rdisk n the cloned drive and recover files to another drive. Dont over stress drive as its likely failing.

this is not a result of logical errors, the only reason it wont work logically is because certain areas containing important information cant be read due to some hardware errors. Maybe damaged sectors, maybe a failing head or heads. Ultimately, this disk will fail and the op will lose data unless it is properly diagnosed and treated accordingly or it is outsourced to a pro who can deal with it safely.

at least now you have some sort of diagnosis.

As mentioned above the drive shows signs of physical problems.
see attached png file for pointers.

From here you could either:

Send it to a DR company who have the capacity to fully diagnose the drive, take appropriate action for repair and recovery of files. This could be expensive.

or

Carry on scanning the drive. This may take hours, days, weeks or more as you have no means to investigate or correct hardware problems: you are working "blind".
If R-Studio does eventually find the files it may not recover them entirely as there maybe damage to the disk itself.
This process could kill the drive entirely, with no option of recovery at all.

as ever the decision is the value of the files against the cost of recovery in real money.
