Hello , I have a my passport WDBABM0010BBK-00 1TB and my problem is that it turns on but doesn't show up on my computer. I did a little research over time and found out that it could be a PCB that could gone bad. so I order a new pcb, and replace the board. when I hooked up the external hdd up to the pc. it shows up but it shows as 2tb and un-partition. so I found out that I need to pull the firmware from the old pcb and transfer it to the new board. so my question is there a software that can pull the firmware from the old pcb and transfer to the new pcb....
thanks!

No there is no software that can handle this. You need a special tool such as PC-3000, Dolphin Data Lab DFL-WDII, or Salvation Data HD Doctor.
Trust me they are not worth the investment unless you're starting a data recovery business. Even if you do buy one, you'll need years of training to properly use it.
You really should send it out for professional recovery. Alternately you could have a service like donordrives.com adapt the pcb for you. But they don't guarantee it will work, and you still might have to send it out afterward.
I'll gladly take a look at it for you if you don't mind mailing it. And I won't charge a small fortune.
