Might be jammed inside our something leaning on the platters. Are you sure its not a stuck head preventing the disk from spinning?

If the motor is jammed then I believe there is a tool that you screw onto the spindle motor and force it free.

The tool Shane is talking about is actually for desktop drives. If your drive truly has a seized motor then you need to replace the motor. I suggest outsourcing as I feel your next question is going to be how to replace a motor.

Well, you have to swap platters and unload & reload the heads.

There is plenty of bad video info on the web how to do this yourself in the privacy and comfort of your kitchen. Prepare to lose your data without knowledge, tools, and practice.

In other words, this is NOT recommended.
