As Luke said, try and get a full backup while you can, so you don't lose everything while you see if it is fixable.
as for could you have corrupted software... well that's a pretty vague question, and not really an easy one.
You cant assume HDD fault just yet. Anything is possible right now.
I think an image of your drive would be a good idea, as it should take less than 40 Mins, though you don't give any details of the drive to know for sure.
Software such as "Partition find and mount", Clonezilla, dd, and many others can do it.
It could also be in no particular order:
capacitors on the mainboard - check the large power supply filer ones near the CPU for bulging.
capacitors in the power suppy - harder to check but can swap supplies to see if it fixes issue
corrupt windows
corrupt drivers/software
malware
Faulty RAM other hardware such as VGA card or any other part of the system
and yes, HDD issue
an easy way to test the actual PC, if you have the resources, and not kill your data, is to take out your Original HDD, put in any known good one(doesn't matter about the size) and install windows and give the PC a workout. If well after the usual crash time, at least triple the normal time, preferably giving it a thorough test it is running solid, then you can blame the HDD.
after you have data, start the troubleshoot process, or send it to a pro

I have another HDD installed with Windows and the computer works just fine, yes the drive is partitioned @ 400gb the drive is a 1tb drive my first one that i bought I have other TB drives 2-1tb 1-1.5tb can I just install a new HDD use this windows and copy all info from that HDD on to the new one I have music making software on it and it takes like almost 12 hrs. to install it all (music software size around 300gb) but there are pieces i have to add one by one and that takes like 3 days it a pain to do but in the end it's worth it for my music production.
