Regular & Common Failure of Hitachi CLA

November 28th, 2013, 16:00

It has been very common & regular failure now a days on Hitachi CLA series HDD.

The PCB gets burnt or damaged somehow & at the same time internal damage (preamp)

Symptom: NO SPIN
Diagnosis: PCB Dead & Internal Damage

No spin with DONOR PCB even. But it spins with DONOR when HDA is disconnected from the PCB & when only spindle is connected. And there is no clicking sound. The problem is identified as Pre-amp failure but as we still don't have clean room into our facility that's why we simply recommend the service to take from abroad. Do you have any other thought about the issue?

Another Issue: Any thought regarding NVRAM corruption fixing on ARM series HDD?

if there is an epidemy it is the environment , i.e. crap power supply routinely used or widely diffused, or something like that. Unless there is a batch of lemons wandering around your area. I can say HItachies are good at least here, no epidemy or abnormal failure rate. But , as a confirmation of my theory, when servicing pc's I don't see too many crap power supplies.

I didn't not anything special also. The problem is not surely on the drives.

Pardon me, I didn't get your word. What do you mean by the statement?

By the way, anyone have been able to work out with CLA series NVRAM issue so far?

Wish in one hand for SD updates, ____ in the other. See which one gets filled first.

If you wait for SD updates will be a long wait.

I'm afraid the most complete tool that work and has support for Hitachi is PC3000 .

Alternative : make your own stuff to patch or work, i.e. something just to read NVRAM and do it externally. Annoying...

If the original NVRAM is missing or dead/corrupt, Does PC3K support to regenerate this one?

If so, or if anyone has confidence enough for the ARM series drives, then I can at least recommend my customer to contact him.

On the other hand, as the NVRAM chip is missing or completely dead. Even you can't dump it's info by using external programmer. So, no clue so far for me...!

If NV-RAM is missing or corrupt, there are several things that can be done, but they can be dangerous in some situations.

So, at the end of the day... NVRAM is missing for ARM series then GOOD BYE Data so far, right?

You are the first person in this forum so far who says it's possible. That's a nice point.
Well, Let's consider all the factors that The HDD has everything good in working condition except the NVRAM issue on ARM series (CLA HDD). Either the NVRAM is missing/corrupt or original PCB is missing. Then is it possible to recover all the cases? I mean 100% cases?

Data Recovery still possible changing platters in clean room is the solution.

How would that help if nvram is gone ? Without nvram how can you find the location of sa on platters by doing a platter swap ?
Are you sure about what you are saying ?

i would like to add few things here to your reply:

Based on your Website Mr. M. Ali here: http://ditplanet.com/chairman-ceo/

Chairman & CEO are one person which is ( :druunk: )

also from here: http://ditplanet.com/pc3000/
means if i want to order the pc-3000 i should contact you (makes sense here)

in addition here: http://ditplanet.com/data-recovery-software/

Software prices @ 100$ (is it with or w/o crack) (sure about that ads?)

the funny thing here is this: http://ditplanet.com/hard-drive-refurbishing/

Refub. drives with 10y warranty (Wow, not even WD or Seagate did that )

@ the end

Good luck with what you do my friend.

I have freedom of expression which GOD gives me as for PC3000 I recommend ACE LAB They want me to resell it. Software is not a crack come with a licence... and for the 10 year warranty is somehow we trust our checked hard drive. So friend you can suggest me for improvement not laughing at my years of hard work.

Re: Regular & Common Failure of Hitachi CLA

ACE wants me to resell PC3K at original price.

at $100 it is a normal data recovery software we made it.

Read everything carefully.

If it would be... that would be the easiest way (who has the required setup). THEN THERE WOULD BE UNIVERSAL DISK READER!!! Like the end user thinks...!

It's not personal attack, it's based on your statement, it's obvious that YOU DON'T HAVE BASIC UNDERSTANDING how a drive works.

Re: Regular & Common Failure of Hitachi CLA

January 20th, 2014, 13:08

Adding:

If the things would be like your statement, then people would not invest for PC3K, SD, DFL, ATOLA....... All would invest for clean room. Also the specified company would not come with their products into the market...!!!!
