pcb swap STM3250820A

I got the following drive with the symptoms of it not spinning up, with one burnt chip. the tvs diodes are not shorting it out.

I purchased a new pcb the matches:
Model number: STM3250820A
P/N: 9DP03E-326
Firmware: 3.AAE
Site Code: TK
Date Code: 07230 to 08xxx <-------this is the only thing different
Capacity: 250GB
Main Chip #: 100407840

When I power it up with the new pcb, it spins up, but is not detected with a DDI. when I listen close, I hear it spin up and make a click, which to me sounds as if its unparking, then it does nothing else, keeps spinning. Based on help I got on another post here, I was told this particular drive family does not need any adaptive services. Any thoughts?

Th SMOOTH chip is toated. It might have affected some other parts inside the HDA, through the DC-DC converter.

Can you post a TTL/Terminal log of the drive ?
Conect that Seagate to TTL adaptor, open hyperterminal with the correct settings and power it up.
Terminal log will provide clues about what is going on with the drive !

Have you observed the PCB properly ? Have I heard you say the PCB shown is the Original PCB ? I can see a toasted chip, the SMOOTH chip, at the bottom right corner.

Thanks I did see the chip, forgot to mention that in the post. that was my reasoning for replacing the pcb.
