Hi,
I have a MHV2060BH 2.5" hdd. It keeps "struggling", emitting the attached sound, then it powers down. What is it doing?
Sorry, if this has been already asked, I checked several hdd sounds, but all of them were related to clicking, but this seems something else.

This is a stiction problem, at the very least. You really need to find a lab who will help you out. There is a good chance that your laptop got bumped while the drive was spinning. So, it is likely that there may be some head and media damage to deal with, as well.

Fortunately no lab had to be involved.
Used "percussive maintenance" and drive is up and running. Thanks for info, whoever shared it.

Just make sure to backup whatever data you have on there. If bashing it actually worked, you've almost certainly damaged the heads and some of the platter surface. The drive will fail sooner or later. It's just a matter of when at this point.
