Outsourcing Data Recovery Job > need a referral for client

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a firm that would be able to take on a pretty straightforward recovery of a seagate F3 architecture drive, 500 GB. It needs a PC 3000 or Deepspar Imager, since it looks like it has some degree of head damage. I could not image at least the $Bitmap with DD rescue, & wanted to be honest with the client that with my past experience in data recovery working with deepspar imager that it is the best way to go for the safety of his data.

Please let me know here or via a PM, of who I could have him speak with.

Thank You.

I haven't analysed NTFS file systems very deeply, but I would have thought that the $Bitmap would only be of concern when writing files to the drive, not reading them. AIUI, NTFS is not like a FAT file system where the cluster chains are stored in the FATs. Instead the cluster information is stored within the $MFT.
