Clearing smart on STGAZTEC WD5000AADS-00S9B0

Hello friends ,

received this drive for repair purposes .

drive givving SMART error on BIOS , checking the drive on DFL , heads are OK , but due to multiple bad sectors found during logical scan SMART is in warning State ,

formated the drive adding the defects to P-list , and now the drive is bad sector free .

one thing , SMART still showing BIOS notification , tried to reset smart with DFL , and i could reset all the indicators except the reallocation count which obviously sending the warning .

tried to clear mods 21.22.23.24 which are linked to SMART and same results .

please advice .

thank you

Hi,
try to reset smart with Sediv, demo version should work for smart reset on WD drives.
