drive is in customer hands now so i can't work on it.
When he will bring again the drive to me i will be able to work more on it, last time i talked to customer it was 1 week ago and he told me that he was considering when to bring the drive again to me.

A non-native ROM image will not help. Each ROM has unique adaptives (CAP, SAP, RAP). If you have damaged your native ROM contents, then DIY is impossible.

So, not to save ??? Although I have to recover the data. I need to build a pcb with heads in Safe Mode to recover the data. Ideas specialists?

Initial issue was "no motor spin" and "no sounds." Original PCB is bad!
Original ROM chip was also damaged, probably one or more pin were physically damaged by some sort of mechanical stress by the technician who did work on it before me (for example by touching and by pressing hard on rom pin with multimeter probes and soldering iron).

Well, i was able to read the rom with my eprom programmer by unsoldering the rom chip from pcb, it was necessary to unsolder it because was not possible to read rom directly on pcb (due to bad pin connection, because pin have been damaged).

It was hard to read it even outside the pcb with my eprom, pin were damaged but not totally damaged, after many reading retries i was able to get rom code which i posted in this thread on September 14th:

then i written rom code on a good donor pcb, finally something has changed, hdd began to produce sounds (just a beep sound that didn't promise anything good).

I thought "maybe donor pcb is not good" so i swapped PCB again with a new donor (and of course again rom transfer job), but nothing changed. I still hear that horrible sound.
I understood that problem wasn't on donor PCB but something else inside the drive, very likely bricked head pre-amp!

I did a test by inserting a piece of paper between PCB and heads contact, in this way i was able to insulate pre-amp.
I powered on the drive and listen a nice motor spinning sound.

That's it!
At 99% it's a pre-amp problem, heads need to be changed in clean room.

I am sure, we have a good diagnosis.

Does "Beep" mean "spin up - some clicks and beeps - spin down"? It may be any internal problem, including preamp, heads, or/and damaged surfaces.

beep means just beep sound with any motor spin, i uploaded the video on dropbox so you can hear it, read my last message.
