Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

The above drive clicks during power up, but it stablizes rapidly and stops clicking. It is recognized by Bios and it appear healthy in disk management. When I try to open the drive, it hangs for about ten minutes and then shows "the drive need formating" message. Sediv identifies the drive (Model and serial number but no family name). Initially, I was able to see about five of the modules a couple of times, then they become only two. Now, I am not able to see any modules (view Modules button). But, the drive is still identified by sediv.
SMART shows about 1,400,000 Raw Read Error Rate (Status dangerous). The Error Rate is increasing rapidly with every SMART status request. Sediv status bar shows ready, but sometimes changes by itself to busy (and ERR and UNC become Red) and back.
I am unable to backup (read modules) the modules. I tried to clone the drive, but by the rate it is progressing, it seems to take monthes. It also shows error every 128 Kbyte of progress.
Please help resolve this problem.
Thanks.

Thanks hhddrec, as you said, it seems weak head. But. to my surprise, I am able to see the hex data in r-studio. At the moment, I am saving the data from r-studio to a text file, albeit slowly. I shall later try to load it in an empty drive, and scan the drive.
