The next day I have emails from it, first saying it was finished, then saying a drive had an error (not the one that I replaced) that was fixed and then a third saying ALL drives had been replaced. I rebooted it and it just wants to confirm overwriting the what it thinks are new drives. Didn't do that of course. I've been trying to many days to get at the data using a tool called iRecover. I finally got it to give me a folder/file tree to look at but it is a mess so doesn't seem like a good option. Looks like i'd basically have to re create every folder and copy files back individually to get it back to normal.
I have seen some posts here where DR-Kiev has remoted in to other's IX4s and fixed them. I'm hoping this is an option and he can contact me. Or if anything else has any suggestions, please let me know.
thanks
Ryan
