I bought this hdd off ebay, the guy said it ht couldn't be formatted( he was using a mac) I thought I could do with win 7 with no problems.
I put it in a Lenovo r61. it has a hdd symbol and wants a password. tried several thing several times. I put it on my tower and bios loadsand says something about it. looked in bios and found nothing. window loads driver for it. disk manegment say it cant use it, but I cant find in disk manegment.
the Lenovo is only bios locked with this drive, take it out and no bios lock.
what I would like to do is reload firmware for it, but don't know where to find it, and don't know how to do it( at least with hdds). can anyone help? or point me in the right direction?
