Good morning,
can anyone help me out with the hyperterminal message:

SimError remaining in BootFW
Perform a double download without power cycle

Seagate 3TB. Seems better than the FAIL Servo messages I had before, but maybe that´s just wishful thinking?
Can provide other info, but not sure what would help and what would muck up the view.
thanks,
Kristján

Is the PCB/ROM original?

Good evening,
well, I know it´s a no-no, but no. When I received the drive I was told that there had 'probably' been a power surge. I couldn´t get computers to boot up with it attached. Swapped with a PCB (similar) from another 3TB drive and received FAIL Servo errors. Ordered a PCB with matching serial and rev and now I receive the new message. I was just hoping that this might be a step in the right direction and there might be something else I could try. I can type into hyperterminal, CTRL+z doesn´t give me a F3 prompt for instance.
thanks,
Kristján
