7200.12 - ST3100528AS - loose power

December 4th, 2014, 17:15

Hi,
my harddrive 7200.12 - ST3100528AS make clickin' noises and loose the power supply.

https://sites.google.com/site/seagatefix/Home <- so i try this guide.

The experimental environment is shown in the pictures below.

proofed the usb ttl already (works).
I put a paper under the head contacts.
start putty, serial baudrate 38400 - 8N1.
put the powersupply on - harddrive spin up.
harddrive spin down after a few quit clicks.
press several times crtl + z in the putty window between the time spin up / spin down and after spin down - no console is shown.

Any Ideas what i do wrong?
Thanks!!
