Hello, maybe someone knows how to run an external ROM with Marvell processor 88I8945 !? Since the internal ROM has been damaged by loading proper ROM.
No PCB: 2060-701640-001 REV A, 2061-701640-700 AD.

There are ways, but I've never had a use. If the PCB is toast, throw it away?

Well, i hoped, however, that this processor can run an external ROM. :(

Yes, I read, however, connect Jtag certainly is different as in the case 88i8945, so that the output is rather seen an external processor rom than combining with jtag and the risk of burning the processor.

So everything is correct Spildit. But the attempt to adapt PCB version of the ROM including the outer ends, it is true that the drive motor runs, but 3x clicks and turns off. And that happens. What's more, I found an Arabic forum: http://www.hpwlab.com/vb/showthread.php?t=10643
mention that you have to solder the 22K resistor in place of R74 to
pcb, but this substitution does not do anything, because the drive does not start at all, with the outer Rom. Sorry for my English.

Spildit know everything before flashing it was ok, it was only after installing another ROM Processor was dead. I have a charge, even it is attached to my other topic on the CPU. So what the problem is only the ROM.
It seems to me that the most prudent pcb buy the PROC, burn him and soldered ROM to my PCB.

Thanks spildit, that want to help me, but the cost would be as much as a new disk. The disk is mechanically fit, only what is ROM damaged, because before I realized that it was not appropriate pcb to another disk, it was the disc. Drive is wd10evds-63u8b0. I'm not sure what any deployed from what I write but is using a google translator because my English is very poor. Can it be sure to program, but with that comes kobinowanie enough to burn MCU and many will benefit. Certainly, ktoĊ›wie like this J-tagged connect, or TTL. However, if I do not get step by step how and what I do not know how to act. Happy new year!!!
