Hi,
Have a Thecus N7700 Pro NAS with Broken RAID. It has 7 drives of 2 TB Each.
I have cloned all the Hard drives and using UFS Explorer to build the RAID.
UFS is able to detect the parameters automatically i.e RAID type( RAID 5 ) , Rotation , Block Order ( Left Synchronous) and Strip size = 128 Sectors ( 64 K)
With the above parameters it does show me two partitions
1) EXT FS = 0.99 GB
2) SUN ZFS = 11053.3 GB

I am also able to explore the partitions but the challenge is the EXT partitions shows all the files but SUN ZFS does not show the exact data structure. Any attempts to Scan that partition the Application (UFS) hangs.
No other software is able to recognize the SUN ZFS File system.

Has any one faced this.
Please revert with your valuable feedback
Thanks and advance

No wonder, ZFS is tricky, we still keep researching it.

Recovery probability depends on the number of files, number of file modification operations, intensity and schedule of the garbage collection subsystem and many other factors (like snapshots, etc.), which can fill nearly half of a storage with different revisions of metadata.

We have our own ZFS groundwork and will be happy to assist with this NAS remotely, please check your PM.

Have you read the RAID meta data to see if any one drive went offline earlier than the others? One "out of sync" drive could cause major head aches.

Solaris or FreeBSD will help to get the joy

I'm with Luke on this one. Try to determine if one went offline a long time ago. You can try it the hard way "examine the metadata" as Luke said, or use my shortcut and just try disconnecting the drives one at a time and check consistency (starting with the drives that had issues while cloning).
