This is what I found in the FW.PRO file that I extracted from the Lenovo FWSH43 img:

Code:
; ST9500325AS 500.0GB
"ST9500325AS","0007LVM1","0008LVM1","5468LVM1.BIN","HFSS108.EXE","","","SEAGATE"

AFAICT, you need the 5468LVM1.BIN file, but I would not apply Lenovo firmware to a non-Lenovo drive, as the results would be unpredictable.

I have attached the FW.PRO file.

This is the README:

Code:
ThinkPad Hard Disk Drive (SATA) Firmware Update Utility
           =========================================================

This utility will examine your system configuration and detect all Hard Disk Drives installed.  It will then check the firmware revision of the drive and judge whether your system requires a firmware update or not. If required, it will prompt you to run the appropriate firmware update program for your drive.

Important Notice :

- REMOVE Hard Disk Drive password.
Otherwise firmware can't be updated with error message.

- This bootable CD is made to automatically start the Firmware Update Utility (FW.EXE).

- This bootable CD contains several executable files other than FW.EXE.
   DO NOT RUN THESE PROGRAMS.
Running these programs other than FW.EXE could ruin your Hard Disk Drive.

- Drives that have been detected will be listed in the upper area of the Main Menu.
If a drive that requires an update is detected, it will be shown with a
   blinking mark on the left.

- Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.

Thanks again, FZABKAR.

In the meantime, I have with the help of the lenovo CD tried to upgrade the HDD, but unfortunately the HDD has become capacity 0 and not detected by motherboard anymore. Earlier, it was being detected by motherboard but was hanging NOW & THEN.

Do you have any idea of any software that can revive the disk?

One ST-R v1.31 has come in the field, which people are using, but i donot know the effectiveness of the tool.

Anyone else have the idea of this tool... HDDGURU is full of masters, hope some one can guide me in right direction.
