My HD Samsung HM100X(b) has no internal damage that I'm aware of,
it's that (designed to give problems) Board witch got a strange connection,
to a hidden SATA connector, lost the original USB wire (got ripped)!

I really need the DATA from the drive, wish I could tell you that it
were pics & vids of my kids, witch would be a great loss,
well... it's worse!

Any advice solutions are welcome, have to tell you that I am completely knew
to this ( not to problems, the Hard Drive, Samsung caught me with )
Should have done some research, as I usually do, before purchasing...anything....

There was One Member/Author who found a solution, for a similar HD from Samsung,
called Linius, he got it to work, I download all of his info, quite interesting, only,
I am in the middle of know where, and for his solution, I would need some assistance,
from him or the many people with the sam problem, most throw them away,
or buy, an exact copy, and replace the soldering board..plate ...thing ; lol!
Those Two options are not my agenda, can't find a similar Drive for sale anymore !

I am new here, if there's a return favor, ask and if it's in my range, I will try to get it done!
TnX, Z33t4x2

HM100UX maybe?

They had quite flimsy USB connections, as I remember.

@Z33t4x2, I would take your PCB to your local TV/AV repair shop and ask if they can reattach the connector.

Failing that, purchase a replacement PCB and ask the shop to transfer the serial flash memory chip, if necessary. This IC is located near the Marvell MCU (largest IC). Some PCB suppliers will transfer the chip for free.

Really? They will desolder a MCU of unknown condition from a bad board, and resolder it onto a good PCB for free?

This is great news, especially if I don't feel like reballing a Toshiba BGA array.

That's not what I said. Read it again.

BTW, I think this is the correct PCB, not the one in my previous post:
