Seagate Set stuffing

Hi,

Is there any way to make a seagate serial number longer? I have a work project for backing up drives and they are serial number dependant.

I have been used to changing seagate serial numbers for long enough but we now have a couple of samsung drives and i was trying to back them to a seagate drive, however the serial number becomes a problem

Any way around this?

I'm not aware of how to carry this out on a samsung? Can you advise? I thought it could only be done with seagate
