There is a firmware update for this model, depending on FW#
This firmware release only supports the following models:
Laptop SSHD (KahunaV)
Model PN
ST320LM002 1EJ16C
ST500LM000 1EJ162
ST750LM000 1EJ16G
ST1000LM014 1EJ164
VERY IMPORTANT!! - If your drive has the early SM11 firmware then this update to SM15 may require up to an hour to complete. This is due to a scan of the solid state memory. The update from SM14 to SM15 does not require the scan.
For more info
Type the serial number here:
https://apps1.seagate.com/downloads/req ... kie=en_US_Let me know if this helps

hello,
Rob you need to first short the points of read channel to unlock access to terminal commands, other wise you always get LED error when ever you enter any command like clear smart, m0,2,2,,,,,22 and others
search my post in forum

Waqas Thanks for the suggestions
But please note that i am getting the terminal access here and also i am able to execute commands at terminal to say CLEAR SMART or A LIST
Only when i try to regenerate Translator i am getting the LED CC Error
I may me wrong but but i feel it may be a translator issue, since i am able to read few initial sectors. After say 70 sectors its not reading in DE or sector EDIT
FIRMWARE UPDATE for this model is not available the current ver. is updated. My FW Rev. is DEM4
Have any one faced this problem.
Thanks Again

Thanks spildit
Yes it does look like partial access issue.
I am not able to save or backup any modules. Any attempt to do so makes dry BUSY.
Even Fixing translator with FORK method makes it BUSY
It does not load modules when utility is initialized.

Hey guy, IMHO you should use a Hyper Terminal software and do some "commands" for determine the trouble...
March 13th, 2014, 7:23
I have terminal access to it if enter before the following message appears
What command do u suggest here
After the following message appears the terminal is locked

HDD Lab could you elaborate more as pc 3k utility does not have option of loading certificates on utility for this model.
Waqas as i said in earlier post that it does clear G-list and SMART but any attempt to regenerate translator gives LED CC
Thanks Again
