Hard Drive not recognized in BIOS

April 5th, 2015, 1:14

I used HDD Raw Copy 1.10 - Portable to make a backup of a drive I was having bad sector issues with. I copied the drive contents to a VHD created using Windows 7 Disk Manager. After running a few tests on the drive, I went to restore using VHD to Disk link: http://forum.sysinternals.com/vhd2disk_topic27311.html I accidently selected physical drive 1 (Main OS drive) and hit enter. The computer immediately blue screened. I attempted to reboot, but all I get is for soft beeps and a failure to detect the Hard Drive in BOIS. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

I removed the drive from the laptop and tried accessing drive contents by hooking up using a sata to usb adapter, but no luck. The drive doesn't seem to spin up and makes a low beep noise every second for approximately 30 seconds. Again, any help is appreciated.

Joe

Weird, but sounds like a stalled motor or head sticktion.
