I have the above drive with a seized motor. Is there are platter replacement tool around specifically for these drives? The platters are a non-standard size (ie not 2.5 or 3.5") they look like they are approx 3".

Be sure to wash out the can first, otherwise you risk contaminating the platters.

Platter swaps are difficult on these models as the tolerances are extremely small. Don't rely on a commercial tool to do this.
