April 30th, 2015, 9:20

Dear Sirs, I have such questions/
1. Can secure boot function of the motherboard prevent patching hard disc firmware by any ways?
2. can it prevent patched hard drive from booting?
3. Can Trusted platform module TPM prevent booting of such hardware?
4. Can security software supporting early morning antimalware detect firmware patching.

Buy yourself a Seagate FIPS certified drive, learn about its implementation and enjoy.

Better to buy two of those Segates, so you have a better chance of recovery when they both fail in a year.
