Suitable donor PCB for external Samsung 2.5" ST1000LM025

July 17th, 2015, 5:54

Hello!

I am wondering if anyone knows a suitable PCB donor for a Samsung 2.5" drive. The drive has no power and does not spin up or do anything at all. I believe a replacement PCB would fix the problem, here are the details of the drive:

ST1000LM025

From the top of the PCB:
100725482 00
topsearch 94v-0
ts-m-8v02c sg
352 66-28
20917

Sticker on the PCB bottom:
1S REV.7
20140112
U3A 27HM

PCB Bottom markings:

M8U_REV07
R00

If I can find a PCB that matches these, is it possible to do a straight swap or will the BIOS/firmware chip have to be removed and placed on the new donor drive?

I have attached a picture of the top and bottom of the PCB

Thanks in advance
