Hi! I'm new on this forum and I want to apologize for my bad english.
My external HDD fell from desk and now it does this:

Is there a chance for fixing it with home methods?

If the drive was not killed by beeing dropped from the table, you killed it by opening the drive. Sorry to say but a DR recovery now will be very expensive if possible at all. Never ever open a drive outside a clean room if you need your data.

And no, a DIY on dropped drives is not possible because heads are damaged and you will nearly always have media damage. For a recovery from physical damaged drives you need the right tools and there is clean room work involved.

Bad news to you!!

this is the worst situation for your data, Fallen and opened in bad condition.

You must speak with local pro, but little posibilities

Thank you for your answer. I have opened it becouse I thought that head is stuck. I did such things before and drives worked.

Besides, data aren't that important to spend money to recover them. DIY was the only way, so I tried :)
