Hi
I need 1:2 or 1:2 portable hard drive duplicator.
i see a lot of companies each claim their product is the best and the prices range from $100 - $2000. Price wont be a problem
I have tries Startech UNIDUPDOCK but it seems to freeze when their is bad sectors.
Does anyone have tried on of these devices ? or if anyone can suggest other brand ?
startech, aleratec, kanguru, addonics, SySTOR, Voom ?

Most docks and duplicators will stall on bad sectors, they simply aren't made for that purpose as that's more data recovery than simple duplication. If your budget is up to $2000, then I'd suggest you get one of these:
http://rapidspar.com/ should be able to handle bad sectors quite well.
Or you could simply use an old computer boot it to Linux and run ddrescue. Just be sure to SATA or IDE connect rather than USB.

Maybe Atola Bandura is right for you, and it's "only" around 1500-2000 euros.

My vote would also go for Atola. Their forensic hardware is very well-thought-out.
