Deskstar 500GB Click of death HDP725050GLA360

What is the usual failure mode of a clicking 2008 Hitachi Deskstar HDP725050GLA360? I though it'd be the heads, PCB seems fine. On a cold power on it beeps twice (from the head coils?) and then just clicks, even though the spindle is spinning.

If it usually is the heads, I think I'll simply send it to a DR cleanroom to have the heads swapped and go from there, as that is affordable for my client. (I don't have my own cleanroom or one close by to rent/lend for a few hrs anymore :( )
