Samsung HS25YJZ 1.8" drive
I looking for compatible PATA PCB (with same MCU). Friends, can you check your resources?

I don't think there is an equivalent ATA based PCB model for this family, only ZIF based.

ZIF will be ok too.

I guess that your 88i8038 includes USB IF
I have used a HS12UHE ZIF PCB with 88i22D on a HS120JY USB drive ( do not remember MCU on the USB version )
But it worked fine

Have a hard time getting a sense of what the compatible ZIF PCB would be for the USB version with no physical drives available and very limited resources online.
There are some similar drives that are MicroSATA interface, so maybe something to explore.
What is the green etch PCB code just out of curiosity?
Edit: whoops, forgot about the zoom feature on pic..

Here is the other side of PCB. I think other version of MCU will not work. But maybe someone have different experience?
PCB has independent USB controller. I can't find datasheet for it (JM20335).

Thanks jermy! It would be very useful if I can't find compatible PATA PCB with nonUSB interface.

you afraid of soldering 28 wires ?

in your line of work (flash) it's a regular daily basis doesn't it ?

No

In fact I solder it already

Now working on problem.
And yes, in monolith it is regular daily job

Did you do the simple stuff first? For example, there is a PolyZen and 3 switchmode regulators. Should take less than 5 minutes for a competent tech to check those.

@fzabkar: it is not electronic problem. This drive has problem with SA and maybe with degradation of surface. We can't work with SA via USB.
