July 1st, 2015, 7:53

I've a case HTS541010A9E680

Symptom: No spin up with patient PCB, but come to READY status. Only thing Can be read is NVRAM and ROM with SD Doctor.

Checked with DONOR PCB + PATIENT NVR - Same Symptom, No Spin up but READY.
Checked with DONOR PCB + DONOR NVR - Spin up

Can anyone see the existing condition of the NVR attached with the thread please

Inside ROM there are 2 copies of NVRAM:
Copy1 address: from 0x2000h to 0x3000h
Copy2 address: from 0x3000h to 0x4000h

both copies are identical, this means that very likely NVRAM is OK.

Hi
In hitachi Hard disk Drive, Nvram Damaged chances is very low in case of not spinup.

Mostly the ROM is damaged.
Find same micro code ROM , Add patient NVRAM to Donor ROM. Some time help full
