August 14th, 2015, 9:40

I bought a HDD used a year ago , (2 tera Hitachi) , use win7 and I have always worked well ...
Suddenly the computer asks me to format the hard drive ... because I have a pc with win xp, and i can see the files, so I copied my files into another HDD .
Now I am trying to format the HDD but the computer find only 1 tera ... I tried with chkdsk and the result is this (don't subscribe to dropbox...) :

I also tried with cristal info and this is the screen:

Do you have a Gigabyte motherboard?

GigaByte BIOS bug results in loss of 1TB capacity:

Remove the drive from the USB case, connect it via SATA, and then use HDAT2 or Hitachi Feature Tool or a similar tool to remove the HPA.
