 Post subject: pls. suggest entry level SAS / SATA card

I want to know which is the Best entry level ( US $ 150 - 200) SAS /SATA controller card for Data Recovery purpose since there are 4-5 make /models are available.

Among affordable, but tested ones, look at LSI 9211 or Adaptec 1045 (check the specs to make sure they fit your needs).
For RAID recoveries, be sure to not buy a RAID controller.

Yes LSI 9211 is ideal card for my needs as it is having 8 internal ports to connect as many as 8 devices .It is affordable too.
I don't know comparison between Adaptech 1045 and LSI , but adapatech has not updated cards in many years.
