ST3000dm001 (barracuda,not HDD Desktop version)

Hi everyone
My seagate doesn't want to spin up,due to my fail with supply cables(used a modular corsair one that doesn't follow the same standard as my thermaltake ones),so 12volt have gone to pcb and 5volt to hard drive motor, now the pcb won't pass any current due to (don't get me wrong i'm not very expert i need very much help) pcb burnt parts such as tvs and stuff i guess.
Those are the attached photos of the pcb, front and retro.

one day ago i purchased one seagate ST3000dm001 as i thought that the model would be the same(so with same pcb and stuff)
as it has been delivered,i found out that seagate likes to do strange things such as doing different versions of hard disks with same model code
so i said,i got the ST3000DM001 barracuda version, and i got the HDD DESKTOP version from amazon, perfectly equal in anything, except for the pcb(oh god why)
now i returned the item for incorrect description of the product, and i'm waiting for the (as described) barracuda version with same image on the article as my barracuda actual disk.
i have to buy the whole hard disk because in italy there are not pcb resellers,so sad.
Will this save my data files?(with the bios replace obviously)

It will be hard to find this version as a new drive, maybe 2nd hand. Even if u go by part number, it will be hard to ensure u get the same pcb.
Isn't it easier to find pcb on ebay? There are good photos most of the times, so you can check the layout and numbers.

Some will take my head off, but i still think it is worth mentioning :) that preamp might be a risk if it is burnt

You could first check TVS (the left one on the right side :) ) for short and if shorted, remove it and check the zero ohm resistors at the power connector (the two black guys with '0' marking in the middle of the power connector).
In the above sentence i supposed you can use a multimeter for checking parts, if you are not familiar with it, rather not touch the bad pcb.

Roughly, there are two possible options for the situation you described: both the heads and PCB are affected and only PCB is affected.

If that's the latter and you don't want to analyze the native PCB condition, then you can buy a PCB with the same revision and it should work after a ROM swap.

If that's the former, then situation is beyond DIY.
