Samsung ST1000LM025 USB3 Repair or PCB swap?

September 21st, 2015, 18:53

I have a Samsung ST1000LM025 (2,5' USB3 ).
Drive when connected seem spin normally, also have blue led blink but windows (and PC3000 too) dont find it like not connected (no sound on plug-in and no errors).
Reading some other post is not easy find a SATA PCB for swap
Can someone give me some advice to check or repair ?

Perhaps the USB port is damaged. Try a USB 2.0 cable. It uses different data pins. Otherwise reflow the solder connections to the small inductor(s) near the USB connector.
